What went up

• Readership
• Literacy
• Mass production
• Wider platform to voice out
• Capitalism

What went down

• Church and King's power over readership decreased
• Control over communication diluted
• people with fancy books weren't so special anymore :D

The Industrial revolution

This era signified multiple changes such as:

• Family units slowly broke apart (kids went to cities to look for better paying work).
• Jobs at factories became 'specialised'.
• People having more opportunities to spend (with more money at hand).
• Leisure time was created.
• New machines allowed products to be mass produced.
