"People think they know me, but they don't.
Not really. Actually, I am one of the loneliest people on this earth. I cry sometimes, because it hurts. It does. To be honest, I guess you could say that it hurts to be me"

Why has the death of MICHAEL JACKSON affected so many?
Without a doubt, his music (& also his dance) was his centrepiece!
It was the medium with which he used to reach out to the world,
and impart his messages to the world.
They were messages of hope and inspiration.
In all of his albums, he would have at least one song that dealt
with pressing humanitarian issues, such as...
Black or White
Heal the World
Earth Song & etc. .
However, his humanitarian efforts were never just about singing a few songs,
Michael Jackson also showed his care by spending his time
with disadvantaged and ill children,
especially visiting them in orphanages.
Some may choose to recall Michael Jackson
as a defeated man, scarred by plastic surgery and medication.
But why not choose to remember the immense talent,
the superb genius, that little boy who sang his ABCs
who grew up to be the man who gave us thrillers,
whose music touched all generations and all ages,
the man who looked in the mirror and decided to change his ways
and set forth to heal the world?

MJ has connected people and contributed to the world in the most impossible ways and I still miss him very much. He was a singer, dancer, actor, loving father and the pioneering person who brought unity to the world and changed music forever.
ReplyDeleteThough most of us are fans of MJ, there are still a minority of people who secretly detest him, hate him and curse him in the shadows. For example, Peter King.

He might've been brought up in a different way, his mind may be narrow minded, maybe he didn't like music at all, maybe he himself was molested as a child, who knows.
But one thing is for sure, I believe MJ was not a pedophile and that he loves kids just as much as I do.
Aww. Sigh, sad he is gone but glad that he is, at least he can be in peace. Are you going to use MJ music as your topic? WOuld be rather interesting as he does have mass appeal through his songs, culturally too could be quite intriquing. What do you think?
ReplyDeletethanks for commenting Sam & Miss Cheryl.
ReplyDeleteMJ is one of the greatest man on earth i must say ='(
it's so unfair that he had no childhood life at all too. and this was what he said,
"I remember going to the recording studio and there was a park across the street and I'd see all the children playing and I would cry because it would make me sad that I would have to work instead."
he had given all his best to keep people entertained and motivated. yet, he had to deal with so many problems till the end of his days.
*sigh*
it's so heart wrenching recall about MJ, isn't it?
may He rest in peace..
and yes Miss Cheryl, but are we gonna an individual presentation based on the assignment? >.<
