Social media's impact on student mental health
In our modern society filled with abundance of technologies, social networking has become a preference among users, mostly teens and college students. Social network has evolved beyond cell phones, sms's and mms. Most college students and teenagers now at least have at least one account on social networking sites, such as Myspace, Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr. In a recent study, the Jed Foundation reported that 90% of students visited at least one social networking website which in long run can cause friction and mental uncertainty for students. The study also illustrates how social networking change individuals in a state of feeling of isolation. However, social networking have help user's to feel more connected with others, evens those further away. Overall, social media tools has become the most preferred common form of communication among young adults.
