Initially moved by the concept of an 'away-message' combined with the freedom and mobility of SMS, Twitter began as an experiment in 2006. When value as an instant communication network during shared events like earthquakes, conferences, and festivals emerged, Twitter began to grow—Twitter, Inc. was founded in 2007. Today, Twitter is a privately fund company based in San Francisco, CA.
Twitter is a website, owned and operated by Twitter Inc, which offers a  and micro blogging service, enabling its users to send and read other users messages called “tweets”. Twitter is easy to use. In registration, it will only take you less than a minute to join, and no confirmation e-mail needed. You can create as many accounts as you want. Followers are considered friends.  Message boards or “tweets” itself can be viewable in public whether you’re friends or not, and you may include your URL as well which is clickable. Twitter also has unique profile templates, which can be created through HTML mode or purchase it through legitimate dealers in different sale sites related to templates. Compared to other community-oriented web services like  Facebook  and MySpace. Twitter is a simple tool that helps connect businesses more meaningfully with the right audience at the right time. Now, people are turning to Twitter as an effectively way to reach out to businesses too.
