My Proposal (Vivian)

Title: The American television series, Gossip Girl influences many people in Malaysia in many aspects such as fashion, relationships or teenagers.

Problem Statement: How does Gossip Girl influences the teenagers in Malaysia?

Background Research: The television series, Gossip Girl was first originated from the novel series of the same name written by Cecily von Ziegesar. It was then developed from a novel base story to a hit popular television series by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. Gossip Girl basically stories about the lives and romances of fortunate teenagers attending a leading private school in New York’s Upper East Side.

Aim/Objective: To study how Gossip Girl influences the teenagers in Malaysia in every aspect.

Significance: To contribute to the study of social influences in this era.

Research Methodology: Secondary researches – internet and books.

Limitations of Research:
(i) Inaccurate information.
(ii) Different perception from viewers.
(iii) Time consuming.
(iv) Insufficient resources.
