Martha Helen Kostyra (Martha Stewart) was born on August 3, 1941 in New Jersey to two middle class polish parents who believed in strong work ethnic. Martha's mother taught her how to cook. Whereas she learned the art of canning and preserving at her grandparents' home in Buffalo New York. They taught Martha how to preserve can vegetables and fruits. Martha's father, Eddie was a gardener who shared his skills with Martha. They would work together in the garden planting flowers, fruit trees, and bushes of berries. Restoring and decorating soon became her passion and painted the interior and the exterior of her own house. Many of her skills used today are from her parents and grandparents which are passed down to viewers. She showed women how to entertain, decorate, garden, craft, cook and bake. Martha has publish magazines, books, etc, was named one of '' America's Most Influential People of 1996. She has a never-ending supply of ideas and energy and will continue to influence women all over the world.

Growing up from experienced familyhood in culinary skills and craftes, she shares her passion for creative principles and practical ideas. Known to be awarded with numerous honors and distinctions from the world of business, education, culinary arts, retail and media. She is also the founder and CEO of a multi-billion dollar organization called Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc, has several magazines, entertaining videos, books, several satelite radio channels and her own line at Macy's.

Objectives of the Martha Stewart show
The reason why I choose to research on Martha Stewart is how she fascinates and influences woman worlwide with her never ending recipies, housekeeping tips, gardening and wedding advice. It caught my intention to reasearch more about her after flipping through the channels and her online website which caught my attention. The moral learnt is that even if you're a housewife or just the average girl next door, its not impossible to make dreams come true. Women can be billionares or great cooks/housewife, all you need is a little more effort.
