Background of 17 Again

17 Again is kind of film which is comedy, romance, and talk about some common issues in our real life. Actually, story of this film is talking about a popular guy who is the championship basketball player named Mike O'Donnell in the high school when he was 17-year-old. He is the star athlete headed straight for the college scholarship, but he decides to give up the scholarship and settle down because his girlfriend, Scarlet pregnant, he loves Scarlet very much so he decides to be responsible with her and their baby. Two decades later, he find that his life is not exactly what he expected. His wife has separated from his due to regrets about abandoning college, this forcing him to live with his best friend named Ned Gold. Mike loses his job and his kids Maggie and Alex feel very helpless with their father. After that Mike transforms into 17-year-old self while he encountered a mysterious janitor. This given a chance to relive his life, he enrolls at the high school and which presents lot of new challenges for Mike, such as dressing cool, keeping up the latest technology and making new friends. But his mission is to help his kids and to accomplish their dream some more spends time with Scarlet. Through his experiences, Mike realizes that he had chosen the perfect life. Finally he becomes the new school basketball coach.

The main target audience of 17 Again is teenagers, actually this film also suitable for all ages people. most of the teenagers are attracted to this film because the clothing, technologies, so, characters if this film are very interesting for them. This film also gives parents several ways to educate their children as well and reflects some common issues between parents and their children we can see it nowadays. Besides, through this film we can found that time is very important for all of us, we can't catch it back if it passed.

The objectives of 17 Again is to show how the character's clothing influence teenagers, parent's behavior influencing their children and to learn the time is very important for everyone.

I've chosen 17 Again as my research topic, because it has moral value for me to do this assignment. Through the following I have mentioned, characters in this film has the power to influence teenagers to follow what style they clothing, what kind of modal of their phone or walkman they use in this film. Obviously, the main culture I looking at at is clothing and another culture is the behavior of parents. This film reflects what do the teenagers thinking and what they wondering during this era, such as a kind of parrot behavior; besides, behavior of parents are very important to their children, that's why people say that as a man sows and so he shall reap. 17 Again not only talk about the clothing but also family values and education.
